What is our Islamic Culture?
It is the civilization of Muslims over time as reflected in our customs, arts and conveniences. "Islamic culture" is also the fineness of our feelings, thoughts, tastes and manners as muslims.
Since Muslims themselves are part of many nations and thus have many 'ethnic' cultures - our Islamic culture enhances and furthers the literature, theater, music and art of each individually.
Through the use of the arts, we are not only able to enhance the love of our own iIslamic culture - but its understanding too.
It is indeed a historical fact that literature, theater and art have been the cause of revolutions in the life of the human being.
Theater has a way of tranforming us into a world we can relate to or try to relate to and thus improve our collective condition.
Theater with an Islamic theme not only re-inforces our collective consciousness, but is a Dawah tool to help others understand who we are, celebrate what Islam has brought to us as human beings or discuss ills that have overwhelmed our ethnic/national cultures in their attempt to incorporate Al-Islam as the way of life.
Our collective Islamic culture is documented through the arts with our literature, poetry, theater, music, calligraphy and art.
This site lists some of Shamsiddeen's previously performed works, has articles of some efforts in Islamic theatre and even allows you to order a play for an upcoming event. Expression through these particular artistic forms conveys our experiences, emotions, ideas and habits through words, presentation and movement.

Muslim Women's Theater.
Islamic plays for Muslim women conferences, meet-ings or programs. These one act plays or skits are very spiritual and allow Muslim women to express themselves in a modest creative manner.
Children's Theater
Stories based off the message to be understood in the Hadith, historic figures, American, African and/or arab folktales. We even have some remakes of classic tales.
Teens With Taqwa
Theatre that allows Teens to address and express themselves. Some of these plays even have 'open dialogue' whereby teens may add their own words, nasheeds, spoken word or art form to say specifically what they want.
Full Theatrical Plays
These plays are full two or three act plays with full cast. These plays are easily performed by theatrical companies and are excellent Dawah tools to help bridge cultural understandings of the human condition.
